FIXERS, A REVAMP AND THE LTO-7

By: MAO BA? June 01,2018 - 10:35 PM

Netizens expressed varied reactions after the Land Transportation Office in Central Visayas (LTO-7) Director Victor Emmanuel Caindec warned LTO-7 office heads and employees to get rid of fixers or they would be terminated.

A warning that is backed by action as Caindec recently implemented a revamp involving the heads of 10 district offices in the region after receiving complaints about the offices.

Paul Edward said “No you can’t. The people behind those counters, drug test centers are the fixers.”

Salay Apalla Estonilo commented, “mao gyud. Sayun kaau ang test pro hagbung gyud kono. Dli mopakita unsa nga number na wrong, nya e refer dayun ka nla sa fixer nga ilang contact (That’s right. The exam is really easy, but you will fail. They won’t let you see your mistakes and they will refer you to their fixers.)”

Angelito Aurestila wrote in Cebuano, ”Please do a surprise vist in the Tagbilaran, Bohol office. Do it like you are a simple netizen. You will find out that a fixer would usually approach you as you enter the office … Fixers have been there since I was still a child. That is their job after all.”
