FANS of the love team of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, known by their uniname JoshLia, were treated to the first teaser of their upcoming film, “I Love You, Hater.”

Initially slated to be shown on June 13, the movie now has a July 11 play date.

The teaser video was released by Star Cinema’s YouTube channel and shared by the lead stars on their Instagram accounts, including the young stars’ castmate, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.

The teaser starts with Garcia, who plays Joko, pretending to his family that he works in New York City.

Barretto, who portrays Zoey, is described in the teaser as the “dreamer.”

“I’m gonna be somebody, I’m gonna have a name. And they are gonna know me and I will be loved,” a crying Zoey says.

While Zoey is crying, Joko takes a video of her.

The two will cross paths when they apply for the same position (executive assistant) in a media company owned by Aquino’s character, Sasha.

Part of the teaser shows Zoey questioning Joko’s capabilities.

“How can a boy manage this job?” Zoey asks Joko.

Sino ba ang may sabi na lalaki ako?” Joko answers.

A surprised Barretto asks, “Bakla ka?”

May problema ka sa bakla?” Sasha interrupts.

“I Love You, Hater” is the fourth film of JoshLia after Vince and Kath and James (2016), Love You To The Stars and Back (2017), and Unexpectedly Yours (2017).

Directed by Giselle Andres, the movie is also the comeback of Aquino on the big screen with Star Cinema.

Her last film was “All You Need is Pag-ibig” in 2015.
