Tumulak asks DPWH to postpone closure of N. Bacalso Avenue’s northbound lane

Some business establishments near the site of the ongoing underpass construction along N. Bacalso Ave. have reportedly been forced to either cease their operations or consider closing down their businesses because of revenue losses, according to Cebu City Councilor Jocelyn Pesquera in a privilege speech during the council session, yesterday. Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak has requested the DPWH-7 to move the closure of the northbound lane of to avoid severe traffic congestion.

He said the classes have just started and its not proper to close the other lane where the construction of the P638-million underpass project is being done.

The DPWH earlier announced that the northbound lane of N. Bacalso Ave. will be closed to vehicles by the third week of June.
