A vendor was critically wounded after he was shot near the Mabolo Police Station in Cebu City yesterday afternoon.
Felix Lungat Jr., a 32-year-old resident of sitio Labrador, barangay Mabolo, sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of the body.

Investigators are looking into an altercation the victim had last Thursday as a possible motive for the attack.
Teresita Catipay, mother-in-law of the victim, said that prior to the argument, a man approached Lungat  and demanded to have the five bottles of mineral water he had sold be replaced.

Lungat, however, got irked when he later discovered that the contents of the five bottles of mineral water have been replaced with tap water.
Lungat confronted  the man which led to a heated argument.

Lungat was tending to his store just across a mall on A. Soriano Street when two men onboard a motorcycle arrived.
The backrider got off, approached the victim and opened fire.

The victim was wounded in the chest and back.
At least six empty shells of a .45 caliber pistol were recovered in the crime scene.

The attack happened just a few meters from the Mabolo police precinct.
Chief Insp. Ryan Devaras, chief of the Mabolo Police Station, the attack took place shortly after  SPO3 Candelario Mausesa, who was assigned there left the area.
