Four persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Sitio San Miguel, Barangay Lorega, Cebu City on Tuesday evening, June 5.
Senior Insp. Dindo Juanito Alaras of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) identified suspects as Helen Chavez, 47, a family health worker of Barangay Zapatera; Junre Laborada, 19, from Campo 3 in Barangay Jaclopan, Talisay City; Anthonie Chavez, 22, Chavez’s son; and Rufo Apostol, 43, from Sitio Linaw in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
Alaras said that Chavez was the target of their operation.
Alaras said when the police conducted the operation, two of the suspects were having a pot session.
Confiscated from the suspects’ were 14 small-sized sachets of suspected shabu worth P4,000.
The arrested persons are now detained at Parian police precinct pending the filing of drug charges against them.
