CEBUANA singer14 will finally have a concert in Cebu.

Titled “Morissette is Made (Cebu): A Homecoming Concert” it will be held on July 14 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

This was confirmed by Amon in a three-minute interview last Thursday, hours before she performed at the inauguration of the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Terminal 2.

“It’s the decision of the management kasi. I feel like someone who’s made na (and) has been through so much in her life and the management and I feel nga mao na jud ni karon (moment). Ni happen na,” she said.

Amon started her showbiz career when she joined TV5’s talent search, “ Star Factor” and finished first runner-up.

Her fellow Cebuana contender Eula Caballero was hailed as the grand winner.

In 2013, Amon joined the first season of ABS-CBN’s “The Voice” under the camp of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo.

The 22-year-old Cebuana singer then released her first self-titled album, “Morisette” in 2015.

She also became the country’s representative to the Asia Song Festival 2017 in Busan, South Korea.

This is not Amon’s first concert this year. She had a concert last February at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and shared a stage with Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez.

Both performed “Akin Ka Na Lang,” an original song written by Francis Louis “Kiko” Salazar and Martin Nievera’s “You Are My Song.”

Velasquez was all praises for the Cebuana singer and called her a “star.”

“Actually, katong gi ingnan ko ni Ms. Reg(ine) ato kay di mo sink in gyud kay dili ko katuo nga ni happen jud siya,” Amon said.

She also described Asia’s Songbird as generous to and supportive of new artists.

“I feel very grateful kay bata pa lang ko, iyang mga songs na akong gikanta and to be able to share the stage with her and sing my song pud kay I’m very honored,” Amon said.
