Capitol’s Paglaum program scholar

At least 500 of the 1,318 applicants for the Paglaum scholarship for the school year 2018-2019 who underwent an interview will be accepted for the scholarship according to Executive Assistant III of the Cebu Provincial Women’s Commission Heddah Largo.

Largo said that they will not yet accept more applicants until they are done of the inventory of the 10-million fund for the Paglaom scholarship.

“Dili una mi mo accept unless mahuman mi sa inventory how many students can be accommodated,” she said.

Largo stated that the final list of the applicants that will be accepted for the Paglaum scholarship will depend on their inventory.

Also, Largo expressed that the students that will be covered by the scholarship have no maintaining grade but if they will fail one subject they will be out of the program.

Largo stressed that the applicants they are helping come from the poorest of the poorest and from broken families. /CNU Intern Nikki Villagorda
