THREE female visitors were arrested on Thursday morning after they tried to sneak 103 grams of shabu and 10 ampules of nubain, which were kept hidden in their private parts, into the Cebu City Jail in Barangay Kalunasan.

Arrested were Estrelia Orcullo, Tennie Olaño, Rosalina Baylosis who are now detained at the Guadalupe Police Station while police prepare charges for the violation of the Omnibus Drugs Act of 2002 against them.

“(The) entry of contraband inside (the jail was) never realized due to tight security (at the facility),” said Jail Supt. Reynante Rubio.

The confiscated contraband was estimated to cost at least P1.2 million.

Female jail guards used a mirror to check items that might be hidden in visitor’s private parts.

Rubio said that Orcullo was first to be arrested at around 9:10 a.m. on Thursday.

Orcullo kept a pack of shabu weighing around 101 grams in that private area as she was about to visit her live-in-partner who is detained at the city jail.

Forty minutes later, Baylosis, who was visiting a brother, was caught hiding two grams of suspected shabu in her private parts.

At past 10 a.m., Olano was also caught with 10 ampules of suspected nubain also hidden in her private parts.

“If they will not stop, we will put them in jail. Mark my words,” said Jail Chief Supt. Arnold Buenacosa, director of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Central Visayas (BJMP-7).
