Tigers crush Scorpions

THE SAN REMIGIO Properties – Tigers blasted the Scorpions, 114-77, to take the lead in the standings in the Cebu Weekend Basketball Club last weekend at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court.

Guard Mary Ynoc torched the nets for 25 points to help steer the Tigers to their 11th win in 13 games, a shade ahead of the reigning champions Bulldogs.

The Sherilin – Phoenix nabbed its seventh win in a row after it beat the Fox, 80-71, behind the 16 points of Joshua Balankig.

After a sluggish start, the Phoenix has rose to third place at 10-3 (win-loss), right behind the Tigers and the Bulldogs.

The Piranhas and Cobras also tallied victories in the league founded by former University of San Carlos and Southwestern University-Phinma guard Jabby Bautista.

The Piranhas outclassed the Stallions, 77-73, as RC Espinosa scored 18 markers, while the Cobras routed the Hornets, 82-67, behind the 21 points of Ayi Armenion.

The Piranhas stand at 7-5 while the Cobras evened their record out at 6-6.
