A 27-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified men on board a motorcycle along M.L Quezon Highway in Barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28.
Police identified the victim as Fidel Ybañez from Zone 3 in Barangay Buaya, Lapu-Lapu City.
According to SPO2 Allan Frederick Pantaleon, the victim was attending a court hearing before the incident happened.
He was accompanied by his mother, sister and two other relatives.
Police are now conducting a hot pursuit operation and also conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the attack.
