Instead of talking about a “basket of solutions” to address the worsening traffic congestion in Metro Cebu, Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III urged the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to first implement even one project.
And the easiest to implement, he said, is the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
The comment stemmed after the DOTr included the BRT and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) in the list of projects addressed to solve traffic congestion in the metropolis.
Davide said there is even no need to introduce multiple traffic decongestion plans at the same time if it will not be implemented in the future.
He said the LRT, Point to Point bus system, and the monorail project can be implemented one after the other.
