THE GRASSROOTS Relay Run and the Strength and Conditioning Workshop programs of the Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) had to be cancelled due to supertyphoon “Yolanda.”

CCSC chairman Edward Hayco, in a text message to Cebu Daily News on Friday, said the program will have to be put on hold since the schedules of the athletes and coaches have to be reconciled.

“We don’t know when the program will push through because we have to match the schedules of around 100 athletes with that of the conditioning coaches,” Hayco said.

The programs, aimed at boosting the development of Cebu City’s local athletes, were scheduled to begin yesterday. Supertyphoon “Yolanda” hit Cebu on Friday.

The Strength and Conditioning Workshop is geared towards developing the full potential of the local athletes of Cebu City.

The different coaches in the city are the ones tasked to deliver these lectures.
