A teenage girl was arrested in an entrapment operation by police at past 1 pm Monday, July 9.
“She was caught after she offered to sexually abuse three underage girls and transmitted child pornography in exchange for money from foreigners,” said Senior Supt. Romeo Perigo, Women and Children’s Desk-Visayas chief.
The police together with the International Justice Mission (IJM) also rescued a 14-years-old girl. Perigo said they placed the teenage girl under surveillance since last April and received information that she met foreigners who visited Cebu recently.
The girl is linked to an American who was arrested in the US for online pornography. Perigo said the girl sent explicit material involving herself and three other girls whom she claimed to be minors to foreigners online.
Perigo said they will check if the girl is a minor as she claimed. He said they will turn her over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for custody.
