Five motorcycles were impounded for counterflowing at N. Bacalso Avenue, Cebu City since Tuesday (July 10).
Mayor Tomas Osmeña announced yesterday that any vehicle caught counterflowing in the Mambaling corridor will be impounded for 60 days or until the end of the subway construction.
Francisco Ouano, chief of the City Traffic Operations Management (CITOM), said that traffic congestion is experienced by motorists along N. Bacalso Avenue as the Phase 4 of the construction is ongoing.
Ouano is also asking the public to remain patient as the contruction of the subway is nearing its end. The project is expected to be finished in November this year.
“Gamayng pagsabot lang ang among gipangayo basta magdry-run ta kay ato man gyod na usbon ang traffic route aron mofit sa commuters,” Ouano said. (USJ-R Journalism Intern Delta Dyrecka Letigio)
