ROBBERY GONE WRONG: 16-year-old suspect hit by cohort in jeepney holdup

A 16-year-old boy sustained a wound on his left thigh after he was accidentally shot by one of his robbery-holdup cohorts along B. Cabahug Street, Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City on Friday midnight (July 13).

The robbery suspects were identified as Ernie Pepito, 21; Erimar Dayanan, 19; and the minor, who are now under custody of police authorities.

The two other suspects, identified as Fely and Rey, remain at large.

While riding a public utility jeepney (PUJ), five robbery suspects declared holdup, which caused a commotion inside the vehicle.

The suspects were able to take the shoulder bag of Mary Joyce Luage after one of the suspects pointed his firearm at the victim.

Luage’s boyfriend, however, tried to get the victim’s bag.

Instead of firing a shot at the victim, it was the 16-year-old suspect who was hit.

Only Pepito, Dayanan and the minor are now under the custody of police authorities.

Police Chief Inspector Aldrin Villacampa, Centro Police station commander, said that Pepito, Dayanan, and the two other suspects are alleged leaders of gangs in Mandaue City.
