Cebuanos got to enjoy a street food-themed festive night as Montebello Villa Hotel organized the first ever Cebuano Street Food Festival last weekend, June 29th.
Jam-packed with street food lovers, the wide array of food stalls arranged in the hotel’s garden area offered a variety of popular local street foods from light snacks to heavy meals.
Ginabot sa Velez, May’s Barbecue sa Larsian, Kuya Jeff’s Siomai sa Tisa, House of Lechon’s Carcar Lechon, Maco Manok, Mom’s Pizza, Sol’s Halo-halo, Kubo ni Pariding, Didang’s Masareal, Otap, Atbp., Mayol’s Special Bibingka sa Mandaue, Chick N Barrels, Joy’s Fruit Stand, Seamaster, Mom’s Pizza, Jessie’s Homemade Torta sa Argao, La Terraza Restaurant, and Chowabungga’s Chinese Ngohiong were among the participating food sellers.
The festival which started at six in the evening is the first of its kind in Cebu. It had an informal dining set-up where entrance fee was free and the food prices were relatively similar to its original selling price outside of Montebello.
