DBTC wins five 7-a-side crowns

THE Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) once again showed its football supremacy by dominating the 3rd Sacred Heart School (SHS)-Ateneo de Cebu Football Invitational held over the weekend at the Ateneo pitch in Mandaue City.

Teams from DBTC clinched five of the 11 titles on hand in the 7-a-side tournament.

The Greywolves started off with their DBTC D inflicting a 2-0 blanking of the Panthers for the Mix 8 title then their DBTC A prevailed via a penalty shootout against Classico de San Carlos, 3-2, to lift the Mix 10 trophy.

DBTC A added the Boys 12 title with a 1-0 edging of the Panthers while DBTC C inflicted the same 1-0 scoring on the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) for the Boys 14 title.

The Greywolves capped their campaign with the Boys 17 title by denying SHS Ateneo White, 2-1, in the latter’s home pitch.

SHS Ateneo de Cebu then wrapped up the Girls 17 and Girls 19 titles in contrasting fashion.
