Only 2 police escorts for Mabatid, PRO-7 director says

The Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) would provide only two police escorts for Mabolo Barangay Captain Prisca Niña Mabatid.

Chief Supt. Debold Sinas, PRO-7 director, said that he is only allowed to assign at least two police escorts to any elective official upon request.

Mabatid told reporters in an interview yesterday that the Office of the President will provide her 20 police escorts to secure her amid death threats.

The village chief disclosed that she has received threats after expressing her interest to run as federation president of the Association of Barangay Council (ABC) Cebu City.

Sinas, however, said that he will only deploy 20 policemen if the Office of the President approves it.
