An 18-year-old suspect linked to another drug personality was arrested by operatives of the drug enforcement unit of Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) on Wednesday midnight (July 25).
The suspect was identified as John Ray Mabatid Veraces, also known as “Bada” and a resident of Barangay Mambaling, Cebu City
Chief Insp.Henrix Bancoleta, chief of the city police’s drug enforcement unit, told by Cebu Daily News that Veraces confessed his connection with Jerome Gonzaga, a drug personality now detained at Mandaue City Jail.
Seized from Veraces during the buy-bust operation were two medium-sized sachets and three small sachets of suspected shabu, with an estimated worth of P147,000.
Veraces is now detaned at the jail facility of the city police pending the filing of charges against him.
