The University of Cebu Medical Center (UCMed) officially opened the doors of their Outpatient Department last July 16. Fully equipped and operational, it serves as a venue for its residency training program that especially caters patients under their social service program, making it readily available and accessible to indigent patients.

UCMed redefines convenience as the new OPD houses complete facilities and services including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Pediatrics and Orthopedics. Apart from that, they also have Blood and Marrow Transplant Center, Diabetes and Nutrition Center and Wound Care Center.

It’s truly a milestone for UCMed as The Blood and Marrow Transplant Center is the first in Visayas and Mindanao. Capable and competitive, the facility caters pre and post stem cell transplant and infusion with evidence-based treatment, blood transfusion, chemotherapy and bone marrow biopsy.

Leaning towards educating its patients with the disease, UCMed’s Diabetes and Nutrition Center is also a one-stop facility for diabetic patients as it doesn’t only serve treatment, it also provides medical supplies like insulin and lancets.

With UCMed’s OPD, consultation and treatment are now easy for those in the central and southern part of the country.

UCMed is located at Ouano Ave., Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
