Senior Supt. Royina Garma, director of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), brushed aside talks that violence has reigned over the city.
“What series are you talking about? If you say series, there should be a pattern. But what we have now in the city, there are no pattern,” she said in a press conference today (August 7).
“It’s more of a random killing,” she added.
Despite the unsolved killings, Garma insisted that Cebu is peaceful. The city police director said the unavailability of witnesses and other evidence has been a hindrance to their investigations.
She said policemen are now deployed on the streets to make people feel that they are safe.
