Cebu remains to be safe for Chinese tourists, says consul general

Despite the unresolved killings, Chinese Consul General for Cebu Shi Yong expressed confidence that the province remains to be a safe place for Chinese tourists to stay on.

He also thanked Oslob Mayor Jun Tumulak for ensuring the safety of their tourists who visit their south Cebu town to experience its whale shark watching attraction.

But Yong expressed hope that the Philippine government will soon be able to address concerns on killings.

Yong visited Oslob town on Tuesday to lead the turnover of an ambulance which the Chinese Consulate of Cebu donated to the Municipality of Oslob. / USJR Intern Delta Letigio
