THE LYCANS added yet another title to their trophy case as they captured the championship in the 4th Duterte Basketball League with a close 88-85 victory over Queensland in Game 2 of the best-of-three finals last Sunday at the Capitol Parish Gym.
The win allowed the Lycans to sweep Queensland, 2-0.
Rexon Moneva stepped up big time for the team owned by Melchor “Dondon” Aropo as he scored 25 points while Joseph Cabahug added 16. Ranel Cortez also chipped in nine for the team coached by former University of the Visayas standout, Ritchum Dennison.
Brian Gomez paced Queensland with 21 markers even as Kelvin Cinco and Jonel Navaja contributed 16 apiece.
