COACHES of teams interested in joining the 20th Aboitiz Football Cup, the longest running football tournament in Cebu, are invited to a coaches’ meeting at 7 p.m. at the Jollibee Mango.
The organizing Cebu Football Association (CFA) advised that only two representatives will be allowed per team regardless of the number of categories that they will be competing in.
Topics for discussion during the coaches meeting are the opening day ceremonies, tournament ground rules and game schedules.
The tournament will have four game formats. A 5-a-side format will be followed in the 7-Under Mixed (2011 & up) while the 9U Mixed (2009 & up) will follow the 7-a-side format.
A 9-a-side format will be followed in the 11U Mixed (2007 & up), Ladies Open, Inter-BPO Men’s and Ladies and the Inter-Company (open) while to play the regular 11-a-side format are Boys 13-U (2005 & up), U15 Boys and Girls (2003 & up), U18 Boys and Girls (2000 & up), Boys U-21 (1997 & up), 38 & Above (1980 & below), 45 & Above (1973 & below) and the Men’s Open.
