THE CEBU City Sharks-Casino Ethyl Alcohol will be looking to sustain the momentum they gathered from their first win of the tournament when they battle fellow southern squad Davao Occidental Tigers today in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup over at the Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor, Cavite.
With their confidence on cloud nine after their thrilling 72-66 win over reigning champions, Batangas Athletics, a few weeks ago, the Sharks are wary of heading into their next match a little too confident.
Veteran wingman Patrick Cabahug said that he and the rest of the team knows what the situation is, and with their win-loss record still at an abysmal 1-4, they still have a lot of catching up to do.
“Our win was of course a great confidence booster for the entire team. I think the question is will we be able to keep our spirits up until the next game? We have been putting in 200% effort in practice and everyone is feeling extremely positive despite the pressure,” shared the former University of the Visayas Baby Lancer.
The Tigers will be tough customers to deal with especially with the presence of Cesafi products James Regalado, AJ Asis and Emmanuel Calo.
