PNP, PDEA-7 maintain good relations amid agent slay controversy

Officials of Philippine National Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Administration in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) expressed that they remain in good terms amid reports that a police officer was among the assailants in the killing of one of their agents.

PDEA-7 agent Von Rian Tecson was killed inside his vehicle in Barangay Perrelos, Carcar City last August 8.

Senior Supt. Angelito Dumangeng, Deputy Regional Director for Operations, and Leiah Albiar, PDEA-7 spokesperson, were among the guest panelists in a news forum at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel on Tuesday morning (August 14).

Albiar said that PDEA maintains ‘high confidence’ on police authorities in handling the investigation on the killing of Tecson.

“If way salig me sa PNP mag-unsa nalang ta ani. I think, we are okay,” Albiar said.

For his part, Dumangeng assured the public that there will be no ‘cover up’ in their investigation.
