Job openings, business matching and networking and skills training programs await graduates of technical-vocational education courses at the World Cafe of Opportunities job fair to be held at the IC3 Convention Center on Saturday this week.
Fidel Magno, who heads Cebu City Hall’s Department of Manpower, Development and Placement, said most of the jobs on the fair are on the construction sector.
Regional Director Johnson Cañete of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE-7) will also focus on entrepreneurial opportunities and scholarship grants for those wishing to undergo skills training programs.
“We must train our workforce, our graduates, not only to become employees, but also to become entrepreneurs,” Cañete said. / Zena V. Magto USJ-R Jourrnalism Intern
