Sherilin kicked their title campaign off on a rousing note as they demolished the Hotshots 3.0, 94-84, in the Metro Cebu Basketball League last weekend at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court.
Six different players scored in double figures for the team owned by businessman, Richard Mercado. Leading the way was Ryan Llanos, who had 16 points. Ralph Belarmino added 15 while Raymond Jimenez and Cebu First District Representative, Gerald Anthony Gullas, had 13 points apiece.
Jason Chan and Bboy Potencioso chipped in 12 and 10 markers, respectively, to help Sherilin get a victorious debut in Group E.
In other games, Petra-Tradesmen remained unbeaten in Group A, with a 70-52 rout of the Eccentric Force. The Huskies also gathered its second win in a row with a 93-71 win over the El Pistoleros. The AlphaxNis Assemble evened their record up at 1-1 with a 67-64 win over Hypebeast.
Over in Group C, the Media Line Solutions crushed the Vel-Pal Barakos, 114-59 to improve to 2-0. The MDC Builder also got into the win column with a 109-107 victory over Metro Cars in the other Group C match.
