Businesswoman shot dead in Cebu City

A woman was shot dead inside her red sports utility vehicle (SUV) along Natalio Bacalso Avenue, Cebu City on Friday night (August 24).

The victim was identified as Junko Hamada, 71, who was the president of Beams Philippines Export Corporation.

Initial investigation showed there are two unidentified assailants riding on board a motorcycle who are responsible for the crime.

In his Facebook post, Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CCDRRMO) head Nagiel Bañacia stated that the victim sustained gunshot wounds in her head and left face.

The suspects, Bañacia said, fled immediately with their getaway motorcycle.
