BERNARD Chioson had a huge double-double to tow the Chioson Development-2011 past the Omega-2010, 75-67, in the 23rd SHAABAA basketball tournament last Wednesday at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
Chioson had 23 points and 13 rebounds to go with three assists and three steals to help his team claim the win in Division C.
In the other match in Division C, the Cebu Cube Ice Corp.-2008 won over the Byakkobar (Beer and BBQ), 55-45. Spearheading 2008’s charge was crafty guard Ed Macasling who had 19 points and five rebounds.
In Division B, Dave Ting flirted with a rare triple-double as he had 15 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in the Core Pacific-2000’s 65-49 win over the Mega Value-2001.
The Cebu Landmasters-2003 also blew away the KJO Prints and Advertising Solutions-2002, 71-56, as Lery Chik had 16 points, four rebounds and six assists.
And finally, the Prince Warehouse-2006 emerged victorious over the Bad Boys Wings-2007, 68-58. Raymond Besinio scored 15 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to carry Prince Warehouse to the victory.
