Town: Santa Fe
Work: Guest Services Associate
Titles: Miss Badian Tourism 2015 1st runner-up, Miss Bogo Tourism 2013 4th runner-up
KEMBERLY Gillamac grabbed the opportunity to represent her hometown, Santa Fe.
“I also want to educate people more about what is really in Santa Fe,” she said.
One of the towns in Bantayan Island in northern Cebu, Santa Fe is known for its white sand beaches and islets.
What makes the town unique is that there is a Roman Catholic Church (Sto. Niño Church) which is situated right across Iglesia Filipina Independiente Church, an Aglipayan Church.
“This situation has been there for a long time already and it is only in the Philippines where you can find two churches of different beliefs and practices located across each other. Things have never gone wrong because of the respect that we have for one another,” she said.
