PRO-7 wants to maintain good relations with LGUs

If they have their way, officials of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) want to have a good relationship with local government units (LGUs).

But Supt. Reyman Tolentin, information officer of the PRO-7, said they have to support their counterparts who were aggrieved by local chief executives. In an interview, he reiterated their support for the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).

The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) recently expressed they are contemplating on taking back the authority of Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña as its deputized representative for “unlawfully” taking into custody and releasing three suspects.

The suspects were arrested for purportedly refilling butane canisters with liquefied petroleum gas.
