DR. Brian To, a senior Wharton fellow, will be in Cebu on September 28 for the third part of Strategic Leadership and Management Program (SLAMP 3), which envisions to coach participants on the behavioral approach to strategy execution.
To, a global strategist and senior practice professor of strategy and leadership, said SLAMP 3 is the third program in a series which focuses on competitive strategy formulation, development and execution.
“This is the same program that is taught in some of the world’s business schools delivered at a fraction of the cost. We are doing this because everyone deserves to be equipped with the knowledge and skills which are relevant in strategy implementation and execution in the context of global hypercompetition,” said To.
To is adviser and coach to Fortune 500 corporations, governments, military and family-owned enterprises in Asia, Europe and North America. He is a graduate of Harvard, HEC Paris, Oxford, Stanford, Wharton, John F. Kennedy, INSEAD, and Middlesex University. He holds Master’s Degrees in Management, Business, Public Policy and Change and Doctorates in Business Administration and Chinese Business and Management.
Rear Admiral Jose Renan Suarez will also join To as guest speaker in the one-day program that will focus on both the principal components of strategy execution process. The program will examine successful and failed attempts to execute strategy initiatives through the eyes of real case studies.
Proceeds of SLAMP 3 will benefit the projects of SimplyShare Foundation, Inc., a non-government organization devoted to fight hunger and under-nutrition in the most vulnerable communities in the Philippines.
The whole-day event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Cebu Parklane International Hotel. Program fee is P5,000 for a group of three or more persons. Regular registration is at P6,000.
