HERE’s another milestone for Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach: She is the first-ever Filipino to have her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong broke the news on its Instagram page yesterday.
“Welcome Miss Pia Wurtzbach—the first ever Filipino wax figure in @madammetussaudshongkong. A queen in every definition of the word, Pia’s wax figure will be joining those of the greatest icons from around the world throughout history in 2019. Stay tuned for more updates,” the post reads.
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is a popular wax museum located at the Peak Tower, Victoria Peak in Hong Kong.
Among the international personalities who have their own wax figures in the museum are Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Bruce Lee, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Lady Gaga, Maddona, Michael Jackson, Yao Ming, Maria Sharapova, Muhammad Ali, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, more popularly known as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip Mountbatten.
Wurtzbach also shared the good news on her Instagram account yesterday.
“I have a big announcement! Starting early next year, I’ll be residing in Hong Kong! Well, my wax figure will! So excited to be the first Filipino part of Madam Tussauds!
What a birthday treat! We will be waiting for you,” the beauty queen/actress said while sharing a photo of her signing photographs.
Wurtzbach ended the 42-year drought for the Philippines when she won the Miss Universe crown in 2015.
The 29-year-old beauty queen is the third Filipina to win the crown after Margie Moran in 1973 and Gloria Diaz in 1969.
