The National Union of Journalists in the Philippines (NUJP) has expressed concern over the move of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to visit some media outfits in Bacolod and Cebu.
The NUJP, in a statement, said they are bothered by reports that some media practitioners were photographed without permission inside their offices.
The group said the PNP must not tell the media what to write or what not to write about.
Sought for comment, Chief Superintendent Debold Sinas, director of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7), said that he never has any control over the media, saying they can write whatever they like.
