CEBU will witness a spectacle it has never seen before during the crowning of the next Binibining Cebu on October 19, Friday, in the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
The opening production tells the story of the Cebuana through the decades. Over 150 individuals are set to carry out performances on a backdrop conceptualized by design genius Kenneth Cobonpue. The stage will utilize digital technology provided by Epson for the first time in Cebu with direction and choreography by Victor Cuenco. With music curated by Barney Borja and sound mastered by Monching Payumo, the scoring features the 30-piece Cebu Philharmonic Orchestra, the 15-piece Bogo rondalla, the 10-man Lupon anduyo percussion ensemble and the Primiero choral group. The performers are proudly Cebuano including Luke
Mejares, Missing Filemon, Jewel Villaflores, and Kenneth Corvera. The different aspects of today’s Cebuana will emerge as the candidates sashay in swimwear by Solti Activewear and in evening gowns by internationally acclaimed fashion designer Cary Santiago with shoes and accessories by Shandar.
