More tie-ups for honestbee as it aims to saturate Cebu’s market

MORE local food brands and supermarkets are going on board the online delivery service provider honestbee.

According to Cat Avelino, honestbee’s branding and communications manager, their list of partners in Cebu has grown to already more than 300.

When the app was first launched in Cebu, their first area of expansion outside Metro Manila, last February, they only had close to a hundred local brands.

“Our priority now is really expanding our presence. For Visayas, we are only in Cebu. Our priority is to saturate the market. In Cebu, we want to expand our coverage,” she said in an interview on Tuesday (Oct. 16).

Right now, honestbee delivers groceries and food to Cebu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, and Mactan Island.

Avelino, who only recently joined honestbee three months ago, encouraged Cebuano users of the mobile application to also recommend good restaurants that they can partner with here.

But while they want to get in more brands and concepts to the app, Avelino said they are carefully curating their partners to make sure that these are really clamored for by their users.

“We want to make sure that our platform is highly curated. We are really after quality over quantity. And we listen to our customers,” she said.

Currently, honestbee’s supermarket partners include Robinsons Supermarket and Robinsons Selection.

Users of the app can also order products like fruits, vegetables, fish, and meat from wet markets like the Carbon Public Market and the Taboan Market.
