CompMan suffers first loss

 

SAGBAF Enterprises handed CompMan its first taste of defeat, besting the latter, 78-72, in the Duterte Basketball League last weekend at the Capitol Parish Gym.

Former University of the Visayas standout and 2017 Mythical Five forward Jerome Napao led the way for SAGBAF with 18 points while ex-University of Southern Philippines Foundation center Mil Linao put up 17 points to forge a three-way tie at the top of Bracket B at 4-1 (win-loss).

Also in that three-way logjam is Tito’s Kitchen, which beat BJMP, 66-57.

Rapsody Bruzon paced the winners with 13 points while former University of Cebu forward Ruben Ludovice had 11.

Also winning was JTR Rehab, which trounced Penthel, 64-58.

Over in Bracket A, the defending champions Lycans raced to their fifth win in as many games after beating the CPPO, 76-65.

Nogie Saga scored 18 to help the Lycans remain unbeaten in this competition.

And finally, Franz Dysam exploded for 27 points to push Paragsa past the Knights, 77-66.

Paragsa and Sherilin Plastic are tied for second in Bracket A with identical 4-1 records.
