Police authorities are now investigating the death of a 33-year-old woman who was shot by an unidentified assailant at past 8 a.m. in Sitio Lower Sampaguita, Barangay Banilad, Mandaue City, Cebu.
The victim was identified as Lovely Regenio, a resident of the same place.
Regenio was rushed to a hospital in Mandaue City but was later declared dead on arrival.
Initial police investigation showed that the assailant shot the victim several times while the victim was at the front yard of her residence.
