Fisherman killed by unidentified gunman

A 53-year-old fisherman was killed by an unidentified gunman in San Francisco town, Camotes Island, Cebu at around 6:30 p.m on Thursday (November 1).

Police identified the victim as Romulo Nudalo Barrientos, a resident of Barangay Hemensolan of the same town.

Initial investigation showed that Barrientos was on his way home when the assailant fired shots at him. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Authorities recovered seven pieces of empty shells of a .9mm pistol from the crime scene.

Investigators have yet to determine the motive of the killing.
