League-leading Accenture improves to 13-1

THE ACCENTURE Sharks improved on their league-best record after they dumped the Wipro Tigers, 82-77, in the Elite Classic division of the 2018 Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball on Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu.

The Sharks encountered some stiff resistance from the Tigers but eventually prevailed to boost their win-loss card to 13-1.

Point guard Junas Misa led Accenture with all-around numbers of 20 points, four rebounds, seven assists and three steals while Jeanne Perez pitched in 15 markers.

Wipro dropped to 2-8 in spite of the 23 points of Aaron Suson.

In the Evo League, the Results Companies Spartans put an end to the winning run of the Author Solutions Philippines Inc. Hardbacks with a 59-55 victory.

Jade Seno waxed hot all game long as he finished with 32 points, seven boards and four assists to help the team improve to 8-3 and send the Hardbacks to a huge four-way tie for fourth place at 7-4.

In another game, the Contact Solutions Lemurs defeated the Shearwater Health Crusaders, 77-70, to get fourth place in the standings with their 7-2 record.

Jerard dela Cerna led the Lemurs’ attack with 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

The Cognizant Tech Solutions Gladiators also bested the Optum Knights, 71-67, behind the offensive exploits of Ralph Alba who had 26 points and 17 rebounds, and Kristian Tapic who added 18 markers, five boards, six assists and three steals to bring the team’s record up to 4-8 and send Optum falling down to 3-9.
