THE Cebu Provincial Sports Commission (CPSC) wrapped up its five-day grassroots training program in San Francisco town in the island of Camotes yesterday.

Around a hundred kids took part in the camp that was held in different venues around the town.

Athletics was held at the Cebu Technological University (CTU) San Francisco campus, gymnastics at the Barangay Santa Cruz gymnasium, table tennis at the Barangay Sonog gymnasium, and swimming at the Tulang Diot beach front.

Their main goal of the camp was to give the kids and coaches from different schools proper basic training, especially for those who are looking to join the annual Cebu provincial meet slated January 2019 in Carmen, north Cebu.

According to CPSC officials, participants came from the Tudela, Poro, and San Francisco.

Aside from the free grassroots training program, CPSC also distributed sports equipment to various barangays in Camotes.
