Dreamscape logs new E-Leagues hoops record for consecutive wins

DREAMSCAPE’S dream debut continued, as the Lions made their way into the record books of the 2018 Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball after they broke the league record for most consecutive wins in the regular season after they beat the Contact Solutions Flying Lemurs, 65-56, in the Evo League last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu.

The win, the Lions’ 12th in as many games, bested the 11-game winning streak that was posted by the Supportsave Dragons a few years ago.

Powerhouse forward Ralph Belarmino continued to bolster his MVP campaign, piling up 22 points, 13 rebounds, six steals and four assists. Joseph Arong nearly had a triple-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and an incredible seven blocked shots.

The Lemurs dropped to 7-3 (win-loss).

In another game, the Results Manila improved to 9-3 with a 76-69 win over Cognizant.

Prolific guard Jade Seno put up 23 points, eight boards and four assists while Jhade Lawas assisted with 15 markers.

In the Elite Classic, the ePerformax Reds kept the Telstra Boomerangs winless this season with a 77-74 victory.

Big man Robert Gilo lorded in the shaded lane as he fired in 19 points, 21 boards, four blocks, three assists and two steals to help the Reds boost their record to 5-8 and send the Boomerangs to their 13th straight loss.

Meanwhile, the Fusion BPO Service Inc. Dragons pulled off a 95-85 win over the QBE Generals, thanks to the third triple-double of this season by versatile guard Nino Belande.

The lefty had 23 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists for a Dragons squad that now sits at 5-9.
