Governor Hilario Davide III assured the province’s barangay health workers (BHW) that the Cebu Provincial government is doing its best to provide for their requests and needs.
Davide made the assurance during the 2nd BHW Summit last November 16.
At least 8,000 BHWs from the different towns and cities of the province gathered at the Cebu City Coliseum to attend the summit, with the theme “Kahimsug sa Panglawas Alang sa Matag Sugbuanon.”
The governor also announced that the distribution of incentives to all barangay workers, including the BHWs, will start this week, drawing applause from the attendees.
Health and Social Services is number one in the governor’s six key development agenda.
Davide said the Capitol trusts the BHWs to help in the implementation of the programs that will provide quality health services to the Cebuanos.
Together with the governor during the event were Vice Governor Agnes Magpale and Provincial Board member Christopher Baricuatro, who chairs of the PB’s committee on health. /PR
