Biaño passes away

FORMER Mandaue City councilor and mayoralty aspirant Victor Biaño was looking for a slightly used car to buy as a gift to his wife Ellen, who was hired as a manager of Caritas last Friday evening.

Unfortunately, he was found unconscious at his home after having difficulty breathing and was rushed by his family to the Mactan Doctors Hospital where he died at dawn last Saturday.

“We were looking for slighly used cars online to buy as a gift to his wife Ellen,” Biaño’s executive assistant Robert Usi of barangay Looc, Mandaue City said. The former councilor would have turned 65 years old this November.

He was survived by his wife Ellen and children ages 10, 12 and 18 years old in barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City. Biaño had 16 grandchildren from his five children with former wife Delia.

His eldest child Fe Biano said he was a very good father and provider.

“He of course still visits us regularly at home and supports our needs,” she said.

Ellen and Delia and their children were at the wake of Biaño at the Rolling Hills Funeral Homes helping each other welcome their friends and relatives.

“Even if he was no longer in government, he continues to be a refuge of the poor,” Fe Biaño said.

She said she hopes her father will be honored with a wake at Mandaue City Hall.
