THE last monthly tournament of the Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association (Cepca) will be held Sunday at the Barracks Chess Club in Robinsons Galleria Cebu.
The event will determine the November and December qualifiers for the grand finals that will be held next month.
The tournament will have a five-round Swiss system format with a five-second increment. The champion woodpusher will receive P1,200, P800 for the runner-up, and P500 for the third to the fifth placers.
The most recent champion was Percival Fiel who topped the October edition of the Cepca monthly tournament while the rest of the monthly champions were Eduardo Dela Torre (January), Mario Bustillo (February), Rogelio Enriquez Jr. (March), Joselito Loques (April), Zilverstein Torres (May), Salazar (June), Arnolito Cadiz (July), Neal Amores (August), and Richard Ouano (September).
