Fire damaged bus to be pulled out from Naga highway today

The management of Librando Transit that owned the bus that was razed by fire while at the vicinity of Naga City, Monday night is scheduled to pull out their unit this morning to avoid from causing congestion along the national highway in Barangay Colon.

C/Insp.Roderick Gonzales,  Naga City Police Station Chief,  said that the bus is now obstructing a portion of the highway.

FO2 Rey Hadiana of the Naga City Fire Department said that the passenger who was injured when the fire broke were already sent home.

The injured passenger, he said, sustained  bruises on his hand.

Damage caused by the fire was also pegged at P350,000.

The Librando bus, which came from Badian town and was headed for Cebu City, was traversing the vicinity of the national highway in Naga City when it caught fire at around 6:50 p.m. on Monday.

The fire was traced to have been caused by a short circuit of the buses’ fusion box.

Bus driver Adriano Emlarino said that he smelled that something was burning which prompted him to put his bus to a stop.

He said that he checked on the buses’ fusion box but fire immediately spread.
