Three teams pad win streak

POWERFLOOR, Mondo Skimcoat and Megacryl continued their winning ways as they beat their opponents in the Architects + Engineers Basketball Club 2nd Davies Paints Cup last Saturday at the University of San Carlos gym.

Powerfloor creamed Sun & Rain, 92-76, to bump their win-loss record to 4-0 and remain unbeaten in this tournament.

Former Cesafi all-star Jose Pono tallied 28 points to lead the squad to the wire-to-wire victory.

Mondo, likewise, routed Bio-Fresh to improve to 3-1.

After suffering its first loss of the season, Mondo got off to a 24-11 start and never looked back.

Justin Aspacio sparked Mondo with 16 points and four assists, Michael Judilla added 15 while Bong Gabison missed out on a double-double with 12 points and eight rebounds along with three assists and three blocks.

Megacryl outlasted Liquid-Tile, 75-69, to tie Mondo at 3-1.

Mark Malinao almost had a rare triple-double for the winning side as he piled up 19 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.
