PERUSING racks of neatly stacked shirts arranged in a manner that puts a boxed crayons’ color order to shame, I found myself wanting the same thing for my closet.

Color-coordinated, light to dark colors, lighter material on top shelves, heavier material at the bottom; the Japanese’s way of giving emphasis on order is evident in every rack, and every aisle at the newly opened Uniqlo store in Ayala Center Cebu.
But considering their two other stores in the metro, this should not come as a surprise at all. Uniqlo’s obsessive attention to detail, design, and innovation, be it with their stores or the clothes they make, is what sets this Japanese retail giant apart from other mass market retailers.
This sprawling 1,212sqm of new shopping space, their largest one in the Visayas, showcases a wider array of Uniqlo LifeWear: high-quality apparel that comes from the Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity; with comfort in mind, made for
everyone, everywhere.

The expanded line-up includes the Ultra Light Down Vest, a lightweight 100 percent nylon outerwear that features a durable water-repellent coating, the Heattech Turtle Neck Long Sleeve and the Crew Neck Short Sleeve, all made for cold-weather comfort.
AIRism, on the other hand, is their world-renowned technology clothing line that features smart, breathable base layer that releases heat and moisture, making them perfect for everyday wear.
If you’ve read my 2018 Favorites article, I’m sure you know by now that their AIRism innerwear is a lingerie drawer must-have for me!
Since opening their first store in 2015, I have relied heavily on Uniqlo for all of my basic apparel, as well as gifting needs.
This year’s Kaws x Sesame Street collab is the perfect gift to give to kids and kids at heart, while the Mercerized Cotton French Short Sleeve is for the girl friend who always dresses smart, in and out of the office.

Having proved that LifeWear is more than just marketing gimmickry and hype, Uniqlo is well on its way to cementing their name as a well-loved global brand.
On second thought, I believe they have truly arrived.
