CEBU CITY, Philippines – Bring one or two empty water bottles and gain entrance at Medellin town’s advocacy village.
The town’s latest innovation has a bicycle that is adorned with flowers where visitors can take their selfies.
It also has a “Bring your own cup” coffee shack where one can sit down and unwind.
Designed by Bambi Pacquiao, the advocacy village is Medellin town’s way of encouraging residents and visitors to support their recycling efforts.
A post on the municipal government’s Facebook page says that advocacy village was set up by Medellin’s engineering and tourism personnel with the help of the 53rd Engineering Brigade of the Central Command.

They used plastic bottles and other junk which they re-purposed to create useful items such as wooden tables and chairs and the coffee shack.
It will be opened to the public starting on Friday, December 14, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
But because of its limited space, entrance will be regulated to only 25 persons at a time.
Visitors will be allowed to stay in the area for a maximum of 20 minutes.
